I started writing at the nascent age of six, spinning tales of an anthropomorphic raccoon celebrity navigating fame while grappling with the everyday chaos of school, friendships, and family life. Over the years, my work evolved, drawing from my own experiences involving neurodivergence, social anxiety, and personal hardships, layering depth onto my imaginary worlds. Still, I never shied away from the absurd: I wove life into characters such as half-water-bottle presidential candidates and vending-machine-cow-hybrids terraforming a seemingly ordinary asteroid that turns out to be an interdimensional portal. I've also dabbled in both poetic prose and screenwriting completing a screenplay titled The Company I Built in Spring 2023, the year before I graduated with my MFA with concentrations in creative writing and film. This aforementioned script follows a lonely shut-in whose only companions happen to be robots of his own creation. When the bots, out of pity, construct a human-like companion, he must traverse the shadows of betrayal, isolation, and the complex terrain of feeling misunderstood.

After completing my first script, poetry grabbed me by the collar and whispered: "Forget structure." My attention span rejoiced. Next? Star's Betrayal - a hallucinatory spiral following a soul that refuses to stay buried. This poetic prose piece follows my first true surreal autopsy of selfhood, shadow, and everything in between. I'd call it an unholy fusion of dream, decay, and self-mythology. And that? That was my gateway into true poetry.
